He then went on to complete his Glaucoma Fellowship at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. With over twenty years of experience treating a wide variety of eye conditions, Dr. Barakeh is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in precision cataract surgery. He earned his PhD in Pharmacology from Emory University and conducted biomedical research before obtaining his osteopathic medical degree from Southeastern University of the Health Sciences. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2001. Dr. Barakeh lives in the Bay Area with his wife and children.
